Telegram vs WhatsApp for forex signals
Both apps can deliver a trade idea to your phone in seconds. The differences are in privacy, history, group size and how easy it is to check who you are dealing with.

Overview
Signal providers use messaging apps because a trade idea is only useful if it arrives quickly and in a consistent format. Telegram and WhatsApp are the two most common choices. They are both free, both encrypted in transit and both available on iPhone, Android and desktop, so for a reader the choice usually comes down to how the provider runs its service rather than the app itself. Still, the apps are built differently, and those differences matter when you are following trade ideas with real money.
Free on Telegram. Forexuro signals are delivered on Telegram only. New members currently get free signals on joining.
Free, opens TelegramForexuro uses Telegram only. We have no WhatsApp group and no app, which is one reason this page exists: if someone offers you Forexuro signals on WhatsApp, it is not us. The official channels list shows the only two accounts we run.
Side by side
| Telegram channel | WhatsApp group or channel | |
|---|---|---|
| Audience size | Channels can have a very large number of subscribers | Groups are capped at a fixed number of members; WhatsApp Channels are one-way broadcasts |
| Who sees your number | Channel subscribers are not shown to each other | In a classic group, members can usually see each other's phone numbers |
| History | Joining a public channel shows its earlier posts | New group members usually see only messages sent after they join |
| Search | Search inside a channel by pair, word or date | Search works, but only on the history you have on your device |
| Desktop | Full desktop and web apps that sync across devices | Desktop and web apps linked to your phone |
| Format | Pinned posts, formatting, edits marked as edited | Basic formatting, pinned messages, edits marked as edited |
| Spam and impersonation | Copycat channels exist; check the exact handle | Strangers can add you to groups unless you limit it in settings |
Features change as the apps update, so check the current settings in each app.
Privacy: your phone number
For many traders the deciding point is privacy. In a Telegram channel only the admins can see the subscriber list, and other subscribers cannot see who you are. In a classic WhatsApp group, everyone in the group can usually see every member's phone number, which exposes you to direct messages from strangers. Scammers know this, and a common pattern is to join a public signals group, collect numbers and then message members privately with a "VIP" or "account management" offer.
Whichever app you use, keep the rule we publish on our official channels list: Forexuro never asks for broker passwords, never manages accounts and never trades on your behalf.
History and checking a record
A signal is only worth following if you can check how earlier signals turned out. On a public Telegram channel you can scroll back through earlier posts after joining and search for a pair such as XAU/USD, which makes it easier to compare what was posted with what happened on the chart. In a WhatsApp group you normally see only what arrives after you join, so you have less to check.
A chat history is still not a track record. Posts can be deleted, and a provider can choose which results to highlight. That is why Forexuro keeps every closed trade on the trade history page, explains the scoring on the results methodology page and shows how to check it yourself on the verify page.
Speed and notifications
Both apps deliver messages in a second or two on a good connection. In practice, the delay that matters is whether you see the notification. A muted channel, a phone in battery saver mode or a busy group chat can all mean you read a signal minutes after it was posted, when the entry may have moved. Our guide on how to join the Telegram channel and turn on alerts walks through the settings, step by step.
If you see a signal late, compare the current price with the entry, stop and targets before acting. Sometimes the right decision is to skip it; see how to use forex signals.
Noise: broadcast or chat
A WhatsApp group lets every member post, so signals can be buried under questions, screenshots and off-topic messages. A Telegram channel is a broadcast: only the provider posts, so signals and updates sit in one clean feed. WhatsApp Channels work in a similar one-way way, but they are newer and have fewer tools for formatting and history.
Scam risks on both apps
- Copycat accounts. Check the handle letter by letter; open channels from the provider's own website.
- Private messages. Be wary of anyone who messages you first offering signals, account management or "guaranteed" returns.
- Payment requests. Paying a stranger by bank transfer or crypto leaves you little protection.
- Screenshot results. A screenshot of a win proves very little; ask for a full record with losses included.

Which should you use?
For following signals, Telegram channels suit most traders better: they keep your number private, show earlier posts and keep signals in one feed. WhatsApp is familiar and fine for chatting with people you know. The app matters less than the provider: a stop loss on every trade, a complete record and realistic language matter more than where the message arrives. You can start with the free Forexuro Telegram channel, where new members currently get free signals on joining.

Frequently asked questions
Does Forexuro have a WhatsApp group?
No. Forexuro uses Telegram only: the free channel t.me/forexuro and the support account t.me/forexuro_vip. Anyone offering Forexuro signals on WhatsApp is not us.
Is Telegram safer than WhatsApp for signals?
Telegram channels do not show subscribers' phone numbers to each other, which reduces unwanted private messages. Neither app protects you from a bad provider, so always check the record and the handle.
Can I see old signals after joining a Telegram channel?
On a public Telegram channel you can usually scroll back and search earlier posts after joining, unless the provider has deleted them.
Are signals faster on Telegram or WhatsApp?
Both deliver messages within seconds. Whether you see a signal in time depends mostly on your notification settings.
